NMPEC President Andrew Stone has had a lifelong passion for using the sun to warm and power his family’s adobe home and spent 40 years as the technology evolved to take his family 100% renewable energy with no fossil fuel inputs. He is a graduate of UNM’s School of Architecture and Planning in 1977 with a focus on sustainability, vernacular adobe and owner-built solar, and enjoys sharing that knowledge with community members.
